69th Grand Chapter Convention

We are proud to announce the 69th Grand Chapter National Convention will be held April 27-29, 2012. The Sigma Kappa Chapter, at the Medical University of South Carolina, in Charleston, SC, are set to be our most gracious hosts this year. The bar was set high last year in Omaha, NE, and he hope that Sigma Kappa is ready.
Please note the following:
· The Central Office will pay the cap amount (shown below) for one delegate for each chapter.
· Airline tickets must be purchased at least one month before the meeting. The delegates will be reimbursed the cap amount during lunch at the meeting. Please do not purchase tickets until we are sure we have a quorum. You will be notified, at a later date, as to when to purchase them.
· Each delegate is responsible for presenting a typewritten report. After presenting, this report is given to me to be published in the Chronicles and filed with the minutes of the meeting. This report should contain social activities, community service, projects, problems, house renovations, etc.
· Housing, food and transportation will be provided.
· There is a cap on delegates’ airline tickets. There is a $300 cap on domestic chapters and a $500 cap on international chapters. If this will place a major hardship on your chapter, please contact the Grand Chapter and we will see what we can do.
· The alternate and guest fees to $100 each.
The chapter needs to rent a beach house and we need to get a general idea on how many will be attending the meeting. I know it is hard give an exact number this soon, but this meeting takes months of planning and we want to make sure we have room for everyone. Please send the National Office the estimated number of members who will be attending from your chapter by Wednesday, January 25, 2012.
