New Chapter Interest

We are excited about your interest in starting a new chapter of Phi Chi.  Below is a few things that will help you in deciding to start a new chapter and how you go about it.  If you have any questions at all, please and we will be more than happy to help.

A quick breakdown of things needed to start an active chapter:

• The medical school or university must be a fully accredited Class A school.

• Petitions for chapters within the US must be signed by at least 8 undergraduate students or 20 for international chapters.

• $100 fee for charter preparation.

• $100 initiation fee per member.

• There are no annual National dues.

Who can join:

• There are no national membership restrictions based on age, race, religion or sex.

• No member can be a member of a currently existing national medical fraternity.

What do you get out of it:

• Besides getting an engraved shingle and membership card, check out the Benefits page.

• As an added bonus, one individual that helps create a new chapter shall be eligible for the Albert B. Saunders Award.
