St. James School of Medicine- Saint Vincent & The Grenadines
Chartered: June 18, 2016
Address: Phi Chi Medical Fraternity
History: Formed by Aum Patel, Jennaire Lewars, Snigdha Morshed, Teju Woodburn, Thornia Hunt and Timothy Gonzalez, the Alpha Tau chapter of Phi Chi Medical Fraternity at Saint James School of Medicine was a vision made into a reality. The founding members decided within their first semester of medical training that it would be of the utmost benefit to give life to a bond among a family of medical students that would transcend boundaries in their environment, their campus, their race, ethnicity, and religion. The founding members remained dedicated to fostering unity and highlighting the imperativeness of giving back to the community that had contributed so much to their own successes. Since that summer of innovation in 2015, Alpha Tau-Phi Chi has grown from a small group of six friends into a family of over thirty active members and has contributed to initiatives regarding pediatric surgical care, primary health care, and renal disease within the country.
